Excel not opening spreadsheet entirely

Many greetings,


My problem with excel is when I click on any excel doc,
excel opens, but only to a blank grey sheet, not opening
the speadsheet. I then have to go to file, open and
choose the excel doc again to finally get it to come up.

Reinstalling has not fixed the issue.

Sometimes one of these works:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.
