Excel Major Problem!!!

I am currently doing a spread sheet for some one and I have a problem...

I have a Column of areas and I'm trying to make a formula to show her which
areas are the most popular. In other words, if say the area 'Edgemead' has
appeared four times, it must show up in a table with a number '4' next to the
area 'Edgemead'.

Anyone please help? I am desperate.
