Excel linked to report in OLE frame

I want to use an Excel file as report format in a bound object frame.

Notice in the help that the SourceDoc property where the file name is to be
entered can be entered only through a macro or VBA.

However merely dragging on the Excel sheet range, copying and pasting does
embed the sheet in frame.

However since the format is likely to change, I want to embed this into the
report. So that I can make the changes in Excel without having to disturb the
report. Creating a format is much easier than in using the report draw tools.

I managed to link the Excel file using the wizard that is invoked when an
unbound OLE frame is started. This time what nags is the frame border that
appears on the top and left borders. I have set the border style :
Transparent, border width : hair line. Is there any other setting that is
required to make the border 'not visible'?
