excel keeps crashing when starting the program

when I open excel it keeps crashing, is there a file I can delete to get
excel to run, I know that in word if I delete the normal.dot it fixes word,
is there something similar in excel?

I had this happen to me once. close excel windows search
search for *.xlb (in hidden folders for hidden files, too)

Rename all the *.xlb files you find to *.xlbOLD

Then restart excel and see if that helps.
