Excel, function, result to be returned in another designated cell

IN EXCEL, IN A GIVEN CELL, I HAVE INSERTED A FUNCTION.
I NEED THE RESULT TO BE POSTED IN ANOTHER CELL DESIGNATED BE ME IN WHICH I
CAN ADD ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND SO ON.
