Excel File Name Auto Change after Access

Ever since I changed my server's O/S from Windows NT 4.0
to Windows Server 2003, all my excel files' names get
changed automatically after they were opened & saved.

Do you think the problem was caused by the Server or
Excel? How to solve this problem?
 
You may want to post how they change names.

It might help get a better answer.
