Hello. We recently uninstalled Office 2000 and installed Office XP in
its place. Now when opening Excel files created in Office 2000, we get
this error message:
Unable to load Application.COMAddIns.Item("PPCMenu.dsrPPCMenuExcel").object.clsMenuManager

Please advise.

Thank you!

How can you open in Office 2000 if you uninstalled it and installed XP?

Sam...

I'm just making a guess here, but it looks like you had some feature
in the old files that were created using some addins that you haven'
installed in the Office XP. You might try checking to see if there ar
some addins that you haven't installed yet

And, where exactly does the OP claim s/he is opening the file with
Office 2000?

I'm assuming that she had created the files on the computer when she ha
Office 2000 installed, but when she uninstalled the Office 2000 progra
and installed Office XP...the old files opened with an error message

Yes. This is happening on two systems that had Office 2000 and now
have Office XP. Is the solution just a matter of installing Add-Ins
into Office XP?

Thanks
