Excel - Convert date format in cells from foxpro xls

I have an Excel file done from export function of FoxPro
2.6.
The column with DATES are visibile in format like
this : "04-Jul-03"
i want to convert to : "04-06-2003"
I tried to use Format,Number,Date a select the type i want
but nothing happen.
