excel charts "grey" out

Hello All:

When I insert a chart in to a spreadsheet, graphics show up as long as the chart/object is selected.

(i.e. clicking outside the object ...de-selecting it ...causes loss of all graphics)

Any suggestions ? Cheers

As answered yesterday in microsoft.public.excel.worksheet.functions --

Choose Tools>Options, and on the View tab, under Objects,
select 'Show All'
