Excel bar charts with percentages

Barry

I have created a bar chart which shows both total expected and now current
revenues of various projects using two colors within a single bar column.
Now I want to add a third piece of information to show the completion
percentage of the projects. If this is possible how can it be accomplished?

Calculate the percentage in your worksheet. Add the data to the chart. Try
copying the data series from the worksheet & Paste Special onto the chart.

Charts aren't for doing calculations; they are for displaying the results
of calculations done elsewhere.

Compute the percentage in the worksheet, then add them as data labels to an
existing (or a new hidden) series in the chart.

Andy Pope uses this technique in this example:

Use your percentages as custom labels instead of the totals. You can add
custom labels using one of these free utilities:

Rob Bovey's Chart Labeler, http://appspro.com/Utilities/ChartLabeler.htm
John Walkenbach's Chart Tools,
