Excel and Word are now Read-Only

All of my files in Excel and Word are now "READ-ONLY". I have done nothing
different with my computer. I looked in the properties section for the files
and the "read-only" box is unchecked. I haven't come across this problem
before. What do I do to fix this?

Have you tried right clicking the folder that your documents are stored in
and clearing the read only tick box and then selecting apply?

You will then be prompted to make a selection on a dialog box. Jus tick
Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files.

HTH.

Perhaps your Office 2007 Trial period has expired. If you want to
continue using the software for anything other than viewing documents,
you have to purchase a real copy.

You can buy a licence key direct from Microsoft. IIRC Office 2007 has a
link contained within one of the menus that achieves this.
