excel and links

We have a number of excel files that have links to other
files , but the links are not used. However, the links are
causing the files to be 10 times larger than the actual
data. Is there a way to easily remove links from an excel
file to reduce the size?

Jim,

Bill Manville (Excel MVP) has an addin that find and optionally deletes
links.

His addin is located in the Office Forum in CompuServe or you can find it
