Hi, i've got a spreadsheet that i need to create, and i'm having a few problems getting the formulas correct.

I've got 18 columns for hours worked each week, i then need to calculate the average hours worked each week over the 18 weeks and present it as an hours and minutes format (of which i'm using the average formula), but my main problem is i need to present the result as hours and minutes worked, and so far i've only got it coming up in a 24 hour time format

can anyone help?

thanks
Leon.

Have you tried applying a custom format to the answer cell.

Right Click on cell, select format, select custom.

On the number tab under category select custom then under type enter h:mm for just hours & minutes

Alternativly if you have not yet found, go to >Format cells>Numbers>Custom, and either click on or create [h]:mm this will give you accumulated hours and 59minutes
ie: 12:25 +17:30+10:00=39:56 as opposed to 15:56 you are currently getting.
