Excel 2010 crash when resetting calculate to automatic

I have a workbook that creates several worksheets with different
layouts based on a client's G/L chart of accounts.

I can run the routine to build these worksheets in Excel 2000, 2003, &
2007, without any problem.

In Excel 2010, when I turn calculation back on (application.calculate
= xlAutomatic), Excel will crash every time.

Any clues as to why this might be?

Excel version 14.0.5128.5000 (32 bit)
Windows version: Windows 7 Enterprise

Thanks

You might try turning calculation to automatica on in a new workbook
and see if that solves. Then return to the other workbooks and just
save them. If not, close all workbooks, turn calc back to automatic
with a new workbook only open. Then open the other workbooks and
resave.

It sounds like there may be a problem in your install of Excel. Try
repairing it - instructions are found at http://www.add-ins.com/how_to_repair_office.htm.
