These files are huge, but I never got the error with Excel 2003. Although
the files are in 2003-97 format. Maybe thats the issue, i should try
coverting the files to 2007.
There used to be a poster who repeatedly recommended switching to Access
when Excel files got too big. In fact, he often suggested Access as a
substitute even if the Excel files weren't big. I haven't seen him
posting lately, but there was some merit in his concerns with respect to
large files. Excel is not really a database program, although it's fine
for limited-size data. Going to 1,000,000 rows in Excel 2007 was an MS
misguided effort, IMHO.
Also, is it really necessary to have all three of these huge files open
at the same time?
