Excel 2007 cell contents disappear

In excel 2007 (office pro plus 2007 sp2, windows xp pro sp2), cell contents
randomly disappear, typically when scrolling. They reappear when scroll the
given cells off the screen and then back on. Currently happening while
working in compatibility mode. Have seen other posts to web about this
without clear solution. One user apparently fixed issue by adjusting zoom to
99%. Am not sure if this corrects issue in all instances (another user noted
that it did not fix issue for them). Another user also noted issue when
working with excel 2007 file (i.e., not compatibility mode). Thanks for any
assistance on addressing this issue.
