Has anyone Used VBA to import variables from Excel2003 into word2003 to be
numbers in the equation editor? I have developed the variable values in
excel vba but want to print out the equations in word using the equation
editor. So far I have not been able to accomplish that.
Any ideas on how to proceed?

Take a look at the MathType SDK at http://www.dessci.com/en/reference/sdk/.
Specifically refer to the section on MTEF. A few things you should know
about the SDK: The SDK is provided "as is", free of charge, and Design
Science does not provide support for the SDK.
