Excel 2002 dropping gridlines and window panes when saved as a work space

Does anyone know why Excel might drop thise setting when saving is don
via the Workspace option? Simply saving the spreadsheet independentl
brings back the gridline off option and the saved window pane
properly.

I assume other non-cell specific formatting options are being lost a
well.

Curiously the gridline option is being kept on other files in the sam
workspace. Weird!
