Excel 2000 SR-1 update failed

Hi,

Recently I downloaded MS Office 2000 SR-1 update and while installing the
update it prompted me to install the original excel cd. When I bought my
computer MS office was preloaded on it and I don't have the CD. Other office
application work fine but whenever I open excel it prompts me to enter the
installation CD and the launch fails. I was thinking of rolling the install
back, but according the microsoft website it cannot be unrolled.

Can someone suggest something.

Any legitimate software *must* have one of two installations to comply to
MS's licensing for OEMs

1) They install and provide the installation media to there customer
2) They install the installation media in a folder on the hard drive

In both instances your computer vendor or local MS subsidiary can help with
replacement media/fix for maybe a small handling charge
