the old "examples Database"...where is it??

I haven't used access for a few years now and am getting lost! there used
to be an "Examples Database" that shipped with earleir versions (97), anyone
know where i can find this? NB, I'm not talking about the Northwind stuff.
the Examples database showed, through Forms, how to update the contents of a
Combo Box based on values selected in another etc.

For Access 2000:

Form more databases, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
and search for "Sample Database".

thanks for that Fred

the first one named, for office 2000, has what i was looking for. if i
remember right, the 97 version was slightly more comprehensive, but the 2000
version has what i was looking for plus some other neat stuff i haven't seen
before.

dunno why MS don't advertise this more on Access, it's a superb little
database for anyone new to Access or new to relational database in general.

thanks again

Hi Joan

I think the one you've found was the original i was thinking about. The
2000 one FredG found seems to have the same stuff on anyway.

as i mentioned previously, it just seems a shame that MS hide these things
away.
