Evrsoft First Page 2006

I downloaded and tried First Page 2006 and like it very much except for
one major problem that happens at least on my machine (running XP).

It seems there is a memory leak in the app and after an hour or so of
usage my system crashes with several memory access violation alerts.
(I could be wrong about the cause of the crashes, but the reason I
believe so is because I monitored free memory with performance monitor
and could see it slowly dropping gradually over time.)

I guess this problem has a "work-around" in that I can shut down the
application every 30 minutes or so and restart it :)

Anyway, the actually issue I'd like to inquire about here is if anyone
has been able to access Evrsoft's support pages on their website. When
I click on the FAQ link or the Support Forum link I get either 404 page
not found errors or "You do not have permission to view this page"
errors.

Support is only for those with the paid version.
FirstPage has pissed lots of people off (including those who purchased it -
like me) with their non-response. The guy who writes it lives in his own
world and seems to think he shouldn't have any responsibilities for his
program even when you buy the paid version to help out after using the
freeware for so many years.
Personally, like hundreds of others out there, I've given up on it.

Bard, thanks for the info. That being the case, I'm glad I did not go
ahead and purchase it. I was hoping their site was just under repair
or something.

You are not the first to complain about this. The earlier version was
OK, like all things, once money comes into it things change.
Look at this link for a decent freebee. http://www.tswebeditor.tk/
