Okay, I've been battling this for a few days now, and I
think I've finally found the culprit. The two problems
I've been having are: 1)my Internet Explorer homepage
keeps automatically changing, and 2)whenever I run a
search out of a web-based search engine, a second window
(http://search-company.com) keeps popping up. I've tried
changing the Registry, I've tried restricting the bad web
site, etc. However, despite my actions, the problems
always return within minutes. I think the problem lies
with a file that keeps popping up in my WINDOWS directory--
REGEDIT.EXE-1B606482.pf. Even after deleting it, it comes
up every time I start up my computer, or on its own after
I've left my computer on for awhile. This, I believe, is
what keeps changing my Registry and Restricted Sites
settings. But, I don't know how to get rid of it! It
keeps coming back! How do I stop it, or block it, or
whatever? Any help? Also, thanks to those who have been
nice enough to help me up to this point. Y'all have been
great!
