We are to guess HOW you are "opening Hotmail"? You are posting in a
newsgroup that discusses Outlook. The assumption is that you are using
Outlook. So why are you surprised that Outlook opens when you open it?
You thought your response was more informative? Now you see why it is
impossible to provide a detailed response (or improbable that your reply
will be on target) when responding to a vague question for which no
details were given.
Hotmail is a service, not an e-mail client. You don't "open" Hotmail.
An account could be the service, or it could be a definition (in an
e-mail client). No version of Outlook was mentioned. How the user was
"opening" the e-mail client was not mentioned. They mention 2 accounts,
one of which is Hotmail, but no mention of the other account and just
what was this "linking".
Knee-jerk posts still require details as no one here is standing behind
the user to see at what they are pointing but not describing.
