everything I download automatically goes to my desktop..

I am a student and take online courses and have to download reading material.
My desktop always asks me what destination I want it in but my laptop
defaults to my desktop automatically. How can I change it so I can choose my
destination for downloads? I use a travel drive quite a bit and most of the
time I put my information on it but I also have specific folders for specific
documents. Help me please!!!

Your Network Browser will give you the chance to select any folder on your
computer but you have to tell it where - you do that in Tools or Options or some
similar. Firefox is Tools/Options and then chose downloads on the screen.
