everyone gets everyone's name w distribution list

I have a "distribution list" which I use to email various kinds of messages.
When I send a message, each person who receives it also gets the email
addresses of all the other people on the list. How can I avoid this?

Use the BCC field.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
