Every other Report page is blank.

I'm somewhat new to Access (see other post)and I'm having some trouble
designing a report. The page looks perfect in print preview. All
headers, data, and footers display properly. The problem is that every
other page is blank. Page one looks good and is noted as "Page 1".
Page two is a blank page. Page three also looks good, but is noted as
"Page 2". Page four is blank, etc.

Has anyone a thought as to what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

Open your report in design view and go to File - Page Setup - Margins. If
you are in portrait view, subtract the sum of the left aand right margins
from 8-1/2". Close that dialog and look at the width of your Detail section.
It is wider that what you calculated and is causing the right side of each
page of your report to flow over to a second page giving you a blank page
for every page.

Your absolutely correct. Thanks. Now I can't seem to drag the detail
section far enough to the left to correct the situation. I've a total
of 1 inch for margins (.5 on each side) and no detail or summary field
extends passed the 7 " mark, but I can't get the width lower than 8.2.

Any further thoughts on this.

Thanks again

Any time you are prevented from sizing a section further up or further to the
left it is because you are "hitting something". A line or a very small object
which is difficult to see is the usual cause.

Try drawing a rectangle around that area that should capture anything that is
there even if you can't see it. Then you shuold be able to either move the item
or delete it.
