there is a hotfix available for this problem, but you'll
have to put out a request with Microsoft for this hotfix
as it is not a public hotfix yet. Try searching the
Knowledge Base for article 830515. The executable may be
different.
I applied this hotfix recently and it seemed to work for
me. It has not got anything to do with opening files on
your desktop, at least it did not with me.
