EventID 4226

J

jw

I have a system, when trying to connect to the internet using the hardwired
or the wireless network connection, I receive the following error.

"EventID 4226 TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of
concurrent TCP connect attempts"

The computer has been reghosted and that did not fix it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

XP SP2 added a restriction to limit the concurrent half-open TCP/IP
connections to 10 (where before it was limitless). It's supposed to inhibit
the spread of viruses
