EVENT_FAILED_LOAD_PROFILE

In Event Viewer, got ID 1500, Source Userenv, Version 5.2. User cannot log on
because profile cannot be loaded.

Went to properties and clicked support link for help. I downloaded User
Profile Hive Cleanup Service. I rebooted and tried again. Get same error
message. Any other suggestions?

Using WinXP Professional SP2.

The cleanup utility you tried is to cleanup redundant entries which slow the machine down
when logging in or out

A corrupt User Profile as suggested by Newbie Coder is one of the
possible causes of your problem. It is also what I would try first.
