In my Event Viewer I have this slew of Yellow Warnings stating "Detection of
product {CD1CD48D-7B18-4254-B43D-AEAB704AB063} feature "Mailbox" component
{5CC2D105-DDDD-4EC4-8874-750194E57B99} failed. The resource
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InstallShield\UpdateService\ does not exist."

Source is MsInstaller
Event ID is: 1004 and 1001

I have been to the registry and looked at those corresponding entries yet
still I can't fix the problem or find out what is causing the warning. I
don't think it is causing my computer any problems however I would still like
to track down the source of this warning...Do any of you have any
suggestions..has anyone run into a similar problem in WinXP????

The numbers that you've referenced seem to refer to a sound device or a sound
program (could be video also)

The mailbox reference could point to some sort of voice messaging program.

Have you installed anything similar on your system recently (around the time
the error messages started)?
