Event Viewer Interface issues

I can't view the Event Logs. When I open the Event Logs
folder, an error message pops up that says...


"Unable to complete the operation on 'Security Log'. The
interface is unknown." (this message occurs for the
Application and System Logs as well)

After pressing 'ok' to get rid of the pop up, the log will
open but not have any events listed.

My account has administer privileges and I've checked the
security permissions for the Event Logs- it all checks out
so far.

I've never encountered this and can use help.

One possibilty is that the logs may be corrupt. The link below may help. --- Steve
