Hello, My Windows 2000 pro Sp4, when I open Event Viewer y clic on
items, don´t open it. If I save this event in file and open on other
computer, I don´t have any problem, but if I open on my computer
cannot open.

Why?.

The temporary fix;
You might try changing the file properties to "Overwrite as needed"

Then; Control Panel|Administrative Tools|Services|Event Log Service|General,
set the "Startup Type:" to "Disabled" restart the pc, then delete (or move)
the corrupt *.evt file(s) from %windir%\system32\config then set the Event
Log Service "Startup Type:" back to "Automatic", restart for effect.

The more permanent fix;

Hi Fegume,

This may indicate log file corruption.
Could we please verify if the file Eventlog.dll is at this version.
24-Mar-2004 02:17 5.0.2195.6883 47,888 Eventlog.dll

If your file version is older I would recommend that you call Microsoft to
get this fix
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;842394

This article may not apply in context, however for Windows 2000 SP4
this contains the latest version of this file.

To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support
Services to obtain the hotfix. For a complete list of Microsoft Product
Support Services phone numbers and information about support costs, visit
the following Microsoft Web site:

Mark,
Just curios as to why you're favoring 842394 over 829246 given the symptoms?
