Event Viewer Access Problem

All,

I'm having a strange problem with a Windows 2000 DC. I rebooted it two days
ago and since then when I open Event Viewer I get the error "Unable to
complete the operation on "System Log" Access Denied". I get the samething
if I try to open the Application Log. I have access to the Security Log and
all others. I have checked the permissions and ownership on the log files.
This is a strange one! Any ideas will help. Thanks in advance.

Hey Randy,

You may wish to confirm if any security-related GPOs have been applied to
either you or the OU your in or the server.

Also, check to see if your in the appropriate user groups. ie. check the
Domain user and Guest groups.
