I have some Event Logs that were backed up using BackupExec from a W2
server. Problem is, when I now try to view them with the Event Viewer
I get an error message indicating that the file is corrupt. Seems to b
an issue due to event logs copied while the Event Log Service is stil
running according to the KB article 255861 (http://tinyurl.com/25l9d)
I tried the recommended workaround but to no avail. KB article 81114
(http://tinyurl.com/3yr5e) seems to indicate that this is a know
problem and that a new version of the EventLog.dll would resolve this
Unfortunately, I have no MS support. Does anyone have a copy of thi
newer DLL or know what binary changes to the file might make i
readable again? Thanks
