I was going through the Event Monitor and saw this error.

Source: Service Control Manager
The service service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

There are no programs/files associated with this error. How can I go
about troubleshooting this?

Tip 1261 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com was written for NT 4.0,
but it should work fine on W2K.
