I have been running Windows XP SP1 with all updates & McAfee Internet
Security Suite 6.0 with all updates but after updating to SP2 it seems OK for
a day or so & then on bootup McAfee fails to start and the following error is
in the system event log.
Date: Source: Service
Control Manager
Time: Catergory: None
Type: Error Event ID: 7000
User: N/A
Computer: Mine
Description:
The DCOM Server Process Launcher service failed to start
due to the following error.
The executable program that this service is configured to
run in does not implement the service.
Also sometimes when this happens CPU usage is 100% for OSA.exe.If I end this
task all seems to run except McAfee until I restore back a couple of days.
I run updated versions of Adaware & Spybot.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
