Event Id 26 Application Error

We have several computers that are getting the same error
after they log in to the network. These are Win 2000
machines all updates are current according to Windows
Updater.

Here is the event log:
Event Source: Application Popup
Event ID: 26
Description:
Application popup: Explorer.EXE - Application Error: The
instruction at "0x77f8c1bb" referenced memory
at "0x00010782". The memory could not be "read".

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Do you get the problem when booting to Safe Mode. If not, get a copy of
Msconfig from a system running Windows XP and follow the steps in Knowledge
Base article 310560 How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in
Windows XP (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310560) to try and identify the
source of the error.
