Event ID 2000

Sorry if this has been answered before. I have seen this posted by others
with no answer. MS has been useless. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have not been able to figure out the cause. Does not happen in safe mode.
I have not been able to identify which service is causing this. Every half
hour or so, I get this error recorder in my event log (system) - two errors,
both identical:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Srv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2000
Date: 5/27/2007
Time: 7:46:11 PM
User: N/A
Computer: MMMM
Description:
The server's call to a system service failed unexpectedly.

I should have added that I am running Windows XP Professional SP2. All
current patches applied.

If I just leave my PC on, the error recurs every 32 minutes (exactly).

Hi Martin
I had the same message for about a year then I found a workaround as i am
not using the computer as server.
open control panel
click on admin tools then services
scroll down to computer browser and disable
scroll down to server and disable.

It worked for me and all my programs still work, good luck
