Event id: 1000 Userenv error

Can't anything on KB re this error. I have W2K pro SP3.

"Windows cannot unload your registry class file. If you have a roaming
profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator.

DETAIL Access is denied. , Build number ((2195)). "

Well that sucks and I have heard of this behavior before. I know this can be fixed with SP2 and the Pre-SP3 hotfix installed. Been there done that. But I have heard of it before occurring in a SP3 that did not have the hotfix installed prior to the installation of SP3.

I realize that it says it was fixed in SP1. That is not right. In fact I don't think it was fixed until SP3. I might still have it. But you will need to break its service pack level check.

goto Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs > Change/Remove Programs and see if Q329170 is
listed as an
update if it is remove it.

plus

start > run > gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration> Administrative Template
System > Logon > Maximum retries to unload and update user profile ... set
enabled and to say 5 ... default if not configured is 60!!

There appears to be a hotfix available from MS (thanks Neo)
