Event Errs

Win2k sp4, a clean install nothing else on sys;
Event viewer shows following errs:
1)DCOM, ID 10010
' The server **** did not register DCOM within the timeout period'

2)Services Control Manager ID 7023
'The automatic updates service terminated with the following error: Class
not registered'

These whilst attempting winupdate, everything else appears OK
Any guidence?

All sorted, appears IDE controller may have had an intermittant faut,
resulting in either a corrupt win or boot sector/hd.
Used new (another) mobo. all now OK
