Event# 529 - Failure Logon/Logoff ?

I am using XP Pro. with ICF enabled. Whenver my PC is restarted, the
Security event log# 529 is always generated with message Logon Failure. I
type my PW properly 1st time and I got in clean each time. I also view my
MSCONFIG program/StartUp and no program needs to login using current login
credential. I also review my services and no service runs that requires the
current login account. The current login account is the member of the
built-in local/Administrators group.

Thanks for the link. I now can sleep a little bit tighter. It is funny how

However, if you are at SP1 you should not be seeing
this due to this origin, and, you really should be at SP 1.

I am at SP1 since the day SP1 was issued by MS via Automatic Update. We also
"slip-stream" in the XP CD setup CD so that our clients do not need to put
SP1 on by themself. My "System" applet always shows it is running Windows XP
Pro., Version 2002, Sp1.
