Even Viewer stopped logging...

Hi. It would be great if I can get some help for this: As the title says, the
Event Viewer stopped logging events. The last event on Application is
18/05/2006 and the last one on System is 25/05/2006. Their max log size is
512kb however they are both also set to overwrite events older than 7 days.
My Security Log is not on; there are no events recorded in that section at
all. How can I start this working again? Thanks in advance.

The log may be corrupt, see help for deleting the logs and recreating
I'm assuming the event service is started? (Administrative tools>services)

Event service was started. As you suggested, after deleting an recreating the
log, log started to record events again. Thank you very much for your help.
