Ethernet cable end cover (in the UK)

Does anyone here know where i could get hold of a, for want of a better
word, an ethernet cable end protector. Where my laptop connects to the
network in my house, it's easier for the cable to be left in the hub, and
disconnected at the laptop end. I would like to get hold of a protector.
If anyone knows where i can get hold of something like this, i would be much
obliged
many thanks

Buy the girlfriend a ring for Chrismas but keep the spring-loaded case
for yourself?

Cheers for that. Good idea. Luckily the girlfriend has one of these cases.
Saves me buying her a ring. Postpone the wedding

You can buy a splice to connect two RJ45 connectors together. This could act
as protection for the end of the cable.
