Errows when deleting and draging

Recently I have been getting this error message when I try to send email
(message interface returned unknown error) when I drag mail to a folder I
get (can't move the item)
The same thing happens when I try to delete email. I have been sent
viruses recently but Norton Antivirus deleted them.

Do I need to reload outlook. How can I repair my outlook.

How can I repair my outlook.

Help>Detect and Repair is one way. Control Panel>Add and Remove Programs,
select Outlook (or Office) and click Change is another.

If I were in your shoes, I'd close Outlook and run the Inbox Repair Tool
(scanpst.exe) on the PST and try again. If that didn't work, I'd then
create a new mail profile, pointing it at my current PST, and try again.
Ony if that failed would I attampt a Detect and Repair and, if that didn't
work, I'd save my PST, uninstall Outlook and reinstall it, setting it up to
use the existing PST. If all of that failed, I'd create a new PST and move
everything I could from the old PST to the new one.
