Errors in PST File, but moving to Exchange

Hello,

I have a 1.2GB PST file that is fairly old. It is in Outlook 2007 format and
will open just fine in Outlook. However, when I scan it with scanpst.exe it
says there are errors that need to be repaired. The details say:

"internal errors were found in this file. they must be repaired for this
file to work correctly."

No matter how many times I scan the file I get the same message.

My question is: Will the errors copy to my exchange ost/profile if I import
the old pst file?

a) Don't import. Open and copy the messages.
b) Likely no.
c) I still don't get running scanpst against a pst file that isn't showing
any problems.
