Errore 0x800ccc0d

I am receiving this error message when i try to send e-mail through win mail.
i was once told that this service will not work if i have Norton or McAffe.
If this is true.....What is a reputable Anti virus can i use that is
compatible with win mail or outlook.

The host 's' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject '', Account: 'p', Server: 's', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
 
"s" is not a valid mail server name. You get the correct mail server
names from your mail provider. They will have a web page with
instructions on how to set up your email program. If you need more
help with that, tell us the name of your email service provider.

Your error message does not reflect any antivirus interference.
Which antivirus are you running?
