When I click on a link, like to bring up an instant
message window like yahoo or aol, I get an error that says
Internet Exlorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. Then I get a box that says An error has occurred in
Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer will now close. If
you continue to experience problems, please restart your
computer. If anyone has experienced this please let me
know.

I am having the same problem. Here is what the error report says

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: msvcrt.dl
ModVer: 6.1.8293.0 Offset: 000154a

Any help will be appreciated.

Any other browser add-ons may also cause this. Download all of these utilities and scan the system.
