Mr Vogel
sure do appreciate you trying to help out. i bought a subscription from
event ID.net and all i can find out is what SCM does , and nothing on how to
fix it.
maybe you could tell me where to find something on 961 service and 962 error.
would it help if i put a new netevent.dll in?
thanks

larry,

I did not intend for you to purchase a subscription to eventid.net.

You need to have the Event ID & the Event Source. Microsoft product: --All
Products-- is usually good enough. Be careful when scrolling down in the
page so that Microsoft product: doesn't change on you.

To view Windows XP Events and Errors, type the Source (for example, Print)
and/or the Event code (for example, 20) into the ID field, then click the Go
button. Source and Event codes may be found in the Event Viewer logs.

larry,

Where do you get "no results found" ?

This was all I could find on 961 & 962.

[[In Event Viewer, check the application logs for any events that indicate a
failure to authenticate by using the computer account , such as
Domain\serverName$. Events such as Transport events 962 and 961 indicate a
failure of the RESvc service to connect. ]]
