ERROR

Jordan Samulaitis

Good Morning,

This is an error I am getting on two of my windows server 2003 boxes, and
this has been happening for quite sometime now, what is the root cause of
this, the KB is very vague.

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: LSASRV
Event Category: SPNEGO (Negotiator)
Event ID: 40961
Date: date
Time: time
User: N/A
Computer: Computername
Description: The Security System could not establish a secured connection
with the server DNS/Prisoner.iana.org. No authentication protocol was
available.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Data: 0000: c0000388
CAUSE
This issue may occur if the File Replication Service (Ntfrs.exe) tries to
authenticate before the directory service has started.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, ignore these two warning events if the directory
service starts successfully. If the events continue to appear after Windows
has successfully restarted, you may have to troubleshoot the directory
service.
