Error with text on the internet

when in chat on certin sites that chat rooms text will
scruch totether and overlap, ive tried 5 browsers including
IE, mozilla, netscape, and opera, and found through talking
to people that the problem might be within my XP home
editions operating system instead of my web browsers, if
anyone could help id be greatly appreciative.

Suggestion:

To verify your version, go to Start/Run and type in: wjview

MS JVM Version 3809

Once 3809 is installed you can get the Update 3810 - 816093 or use the link
above: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=816093

If this is not the issue:
Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 msjava.dll
